Jefferson residents had a welcome respite from cold weather before another Alberta clipper arrived in Iowa for the weekend.
Volunteer weather observer John Beltz reported a high temperature of 40 degrees that occurred during the 24 hours preceding 6 am Friday, Jan. 15. Low temperature was -10 Saturday night and Sunday night, Jan. 9 and Jan. 10.
Jefferson received .2 inch of snow, which melted to .1 precipitation.
